Dr. Marras is the Honda Chair Professor in the Department of Integrated Systems Engineering in the College of Engineering and a Professor in the Departments of Physical Medicine and Rehab, Orthopaedics, and Neurological Surgery in the College of Medicine, both at Ohio State University. Also at Ohio State University, he is the Executive Director and Scientific Director of the Spine Research Institute, Executive Director of the Center for Occupational Health in Automotive Manufacturing, and Executive Director of the Institute for Ergonomics. His research focuses on understanding the role of biomechanics in spine disorder causation and its role in the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of spine disorders.
