Dr. Bill Latimer, Founding Dean and Professor of The Lehman College School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing in the Bronx and Extraordinary Professor of Health Sciences at The University of Pretoria in South Africa. Dr. Latimer is an internationally renowned epidemiologist and scholar with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and more than $30 million dollars in NIH grants as Principal Investigator. He has conducted NIH-funded studies on infectious disease epidemiology and prevention designed to promote health equity in the US and abroad in South Africa, Russia, Ukraine, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Brazil. Public Health Minute was developed as a means to translate and disseminate current scientific findings to general audiences on health topics affecting millions worldwide.
