Our work shows that babies born to mothers who smoke are more cranky or irritable with greater difficulty in soothing themselves.
Dr. Laura Stroud is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is also a Senior Research Scientist at The Miriam Hospital, Providence, RI.
