Lung Cancer in African Americans – Melinda Aldrich, PhD, MPH – Vanderbilt University Medical Center


Individuals meeting eligibility criteria can now be screened for lung cancer. With screening, we can diagnose lung cancer early and improve lung cancer survival.

Dr. Melinda Aldrich is the Principal Investigator of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She is also an  Assistant Professor in the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She holds a joint appointment in the Division of Epidemiology. Her research focuses on identifying genetic and environmental risk factors for lung cancer and other pulmonary diseases in diverse racial/ethnic populations. Learn more about Dr. Melinda Aldrich here.
