Injury Prevention – Nancy Weaver, PhD – Saint Louis University

One in three children may be investigated for child abuse and neglect before they are 18.

Dr. Nancy Weaver is an Associate Professor of Behavioral Science and Health Education at Saint Louis University, College for Public Health and Social Injustice. Her research interests are in health communication, injury prevention, and physical activity. Dr. Weaver’s research focuses on developing approaches for communicating with parents to prevent injuries, thus promoting positive parenting of young children. She is the founding Director of Operations for SLU’s Research Center: Research and Equity in Action for Child Health, an initiative that connects academic and community partners to progress the health of moms, dads, families, and children.
