Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement in Special Operations Forces – Nick Heebner, PhD – Kentucky University

Although several studies have been done on injury epidemiology in US military personnel, there is limited published data for injury prevention techniques or how to enhance resiliency in US Special Operations Forces.

Dr. Nick Heebner is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Athletic Training and Associate Director for Research at the Sports Medicine Research Institute at Kentucky University. His research focuses on injury prevention and performance enhancement in Special Operations Forces. Dr. Heebner’s other research interests include injury prevention and performance enhancement in the ultra-endurance athlete and the application of portable and wearable technology for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
