Hyperkyphosis in Older Persons – Dr. Deborah Kado – UC San Diego School of Medicine

Hyperkyphosis is excessive curvature of the thoracic spine, commonly known as the dowager’s hump, that effects older persons.

Dr. Deborah Kado is a board-certified internist with clinical expertise in in osteoporosis and geriatric medicine. Dr. Kado is based out of the University of California at San Diego’s School of Medicine, where she serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Family and Preventive Medicine. Dr. Kado’s ongoing research is examining the underlying biological correlates of age-related kyphosis and investigating potential preventive and treatment options for affected persons.
