Health Disparities – Caroline Kuo, DPhil – Brown University

Adolescents and young people account for 40% of all new HIV infections each year, with South Africa having the largest population of people living with HIV.

Dr. Caroline Kuo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences and the Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies at Brown University, School of Public Health. Her research focuses on discussing disparities in mental health, sexual and reproductive health, violence, HIV, and other infectious diseases among vulnerable populations in low-resource communities.
