The Lehman LIFE group traveled to Honduras during Spring Break to help construct schools, build additional classrooms, and provide school supplies.

Volunteers from Lehman’s CUNY Service Corps and the Lehman LIFE club are featured in CUNY TV’s most recent “Study with the Best” news magazine series, which focuses on the University and its best and brightest professors, alumni, and programs.

In this edition of “Study with the Best,” the program takes a closer look at volunteers and non-profits across CUNY, highlighting in particular Lehman LIFE’s recent Spring Break trip to Honduras.

According to Amanda Dubois, director of Lehman’s Office of Community Engagement and New Student Programs, the group’s trip to Honduras was just one of five that the group had undertaken in the past year, which included trips to Puerto Rico, Chicago, Kenya, and the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

For students interested in learning about or getting involved in volunteer programs sponsored at the College, the Office of Community Engagement and New Student Programs’ website features a list of upcoming and ongoing events, starting with the Fall 2014 Weeks of Welcome series.
