Lehman College and Community Chorus to Present Spring Concert May 1 now

The Lehman College and Community Chorus will present its annual Spring Concert on Sunday, May 1, at 2:30 p.m. in the Lehman Concert Hall. Complimentary tickets are available at the Box Office and can also be obtained after 1 p.m. on the day of the performance. test

The major work on the program will be Dvorak’s dramatic Mass in D Major. Directed by Lehman Professor Diana Mittler-Battipaglia and accompanied by the Lehman Symphony Orchestra, the chorus will also present shorter works by Copland, Wilhousky, and others, and an American medley featuring works by Gershwin, Ellington, and Kern. The orchestra will also perform Dvorak’s Slavonic Dance No. 1.

Members of the chorus, orchestra, and soloists include Lehman students, alumni, faculty, staff and a broad selection of residents from many communities in the Bronx and the greater New York area.
