Lehman Professor Honored for Her Commitment to Collaborative Teaching

Professor of music Penny Prince has a busy spring ahead of her. During the Dean’s Award on April 16, the Lehman College community will get a peek at her new production of Cinderella when two songs are performed. Remembering Albert Bermel: Longtime Lehman Professor, Author, and Theatre Critic

Albert Bermel, who chaired Lehman’s Speech and Theatre Department from 1988-1994 and was a celebrated author and theater critic, passed away on October 5, 2013. He was 85. When Bermel joined the Lehman faculty in 1970, he was a respected theatre critic for The New Leader and a published playwright, author, and translator of classical works for the modern theater.

Actor Chazz Palminteri Brings His Bronx Tale to Lehman

The Belmont product has returned to the borough to perform his autobiorgraphical one-man show, “A Bronx Tale,” on Oct. 17 at Lehman College. Proceeds from the one-night-only performance — Palminteri’s first ever in his home borough — will benefit his charity, the Child Reach Foundation.
