Student Government Association Wins Fight to Keep Library Open for 24 Hours During Finals Week

By now the word is out that the Leonard Lief Library will remain open for 24-hours from December 7 through 21. It’s thanks in large part to the efforts of the Student Government Association, who waged the fight for almost three years—that’s three years of bringing their case before administration officials, the College senate, and before each rotating cast of student representatives.

Lehman College Receives Over 5 Million Dollars for HSI STEM Grant

Lehman College has been awarded a $5.7 million, 5-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education for its Pathways to STEM Student Success (PTS³) project. The grant is awarded through the Department’s Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) STEM program. PTS³ joins Lehman’s efforts with CUNY’s two Bronx-based community colleges—Bronx Community College and Hostos Community College.
