Lehman alumna Leah Fredman (’12) is making academic news again—she was just awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to study “identity fusion” in Israel.

A psychology major, Fredman graduated with top honors, capturing the Margaret Spahr Alpha Chi Alpha Award at Lehman’s Commencement ceremony. Today she is a doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin, where she is exploring a theory that may predict extreme levels of social identification.

You can learn more about what Fredman is up to on CUNY’s Pride of the City series.
