The Lehman Chamber Players will kick off the new fall season with a performance of works by Telemann, Brahms, Klughardt, and Dvorak on Sunday, October 6, at 2 p.m. in the Music Building’s Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The program will include Klughardt’s Schilflieder (Songs of the Reeds) for Oboe, Viola and Piano; Brahms’ Two Songs opus 91 for Baritone, Cello and Piano; a Quintet by Telemann; and Dvorak’s Piano Quartet in E flat Major opus 87.
Members of the Chamber Players include critically acclaimed violinist Anton Miller and violist Rita Porfiris, professors of violin and viola at New York University and at the Hartt College of Music in Connecticut respectively; cellist Hamilton Berry; baritone Darian Worrell; and oboist Alan Hollander and pianist Diana Mittler-Battipaglia, both professors of music at Lehman College.
