Two Lehman Athletes Named All-American

Junior Tobi Alli (l.) and Senior Jasmine Springer earned All-American status at the 2013 NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Senior Jasmine Springer and junior Tobi Alli finished their time at the NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships in grand style—both earned All-American status, while leading Lehman College to the 26th place finish in the country. The three-day event was held at the Roger Harring Memorial Field Sports Complex in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Alli, the 2013 CUNY Athletic Conference Athlete of the Year, was edged at the tape, and finished second in the 100-meter dash, with a time of 12.16 seconds.

Springer earned her All-America Status by taking home seventh place in the triple jump, with a distance of 11.98 meters.

Alli also competed in the long jump, finishing in 14th place with a distance of 5.46 meters.
