The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has named Lehman College’s Tobi All as its Division III Women’s National Athlete of the Week.
Alli had perhaps the most successfully diverse weekend of any non-combined events track and field athlete, with wins in four individual sprint and jump events, two relay wins, and a third-place finish in the shot put at the CUNYAC Championships.
To add to her accomplishments, her marks in two of those events were among the top 10 in Division III this season. With a winning triple jump mark of 38-10½ (11.85m), she claimed the No. 6 spot on the Division III list, while her winning time of 12.05 at 100 meters clocked in as the sixth fastest in the division.
She also claimed the long jump with a mark of 18-3 (5.56m, +4.1m/s) and the 200 in 25.40, as well as running legs of the 4×100 and 4×400 relays. As if she hadn’t already done enough running and jumping, she also tried her hand at the shot put, where she earned her team some more points with a third-place throw of 31-2½ (9.51m).
Alli was named the CUNYAC Most Valuable Performer of the CUNYAC Championship meet, held at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island. “We put a lot of work into this,” she said. “It feels amazing. We would not have won without every single person on this team. We made it and it feels great.”
