Health Athletics Trainer Mandy Frescoln
Lehman’s Athletics Department has announced the appointment of Mandy Frescoln as head athletic trainer. She will be responsible for overseeing the medical needs of Lehman’s eighteen varsity sports teams.
A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, Frescoln previously served as the head athletic trainer for Sacred Heart University’s club sports program, where she oversaw twenty-five club sports teams. Prior to that she was an athletic trainer for several organizations, including the Danbury Whalers, a minor league ice hockey team in the Federal Hockey League; the Upper Merion Area school district in Pennsylvania, where she was awarded the Pennsylvania Department of Health Traumatic Brain Injury Education and Awareness Grant; and Haverford College (Pennsylvania).
“The key to sustaining a top athletic program is the health and wellness of the student-athletes,” said Athletic Director Dr. Martin L. Zwiren. “With the addition of Mandy Frescoln as head athletic trainer, I am fully confident that Lehman’s athletes will be given the utmost care and attention to allow them to perform to their peak abilities.”
Most recently, the Connecticut native served as the athletic trainer for U.S. Youth Olympic Developmental Soccer, where she was actively involved in the medical coverage for youth soccer camps and travel tournaments.
