Lehman College’s School of Education will hold its first Alumni Welcome Back Reception on Monday, April 30, from 4:30-6 p.m. in the Faculty Dining Room. All Lehman education graduates are invited to this opportunity to network, catch up with old friends and reconnect with former instructors. This event is free.
“School of Education faculty and staff are looking forward to welcoming former students back to the campus,” says Dean Harriet Fayne. “By celebrating and acknowledging the past, the School will be preparing for the future. We are hopeful that this will be the first of many successful events that engage alumni with the School and provide opportunities for them to reconnect with one another.”
Dr. Fayne succeeded Dr. Deborah Eldridge in August 2011 as the new dean of the School. She also joined the faculty of the Department of Counseling, Leadership, Literacy, and Special Education. Prior to her appointment, Dr. Fayne was dean of the School of Professional Studies at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio.
The Alumni Welcome Back Reception is part of the School’s effort to strengthen its relationship with former students and to help build the people-to-people connection. At the event, presentations will be made about some of the School’s new initiatives and the latest best practices in teaching and administration.
