Pulitzer Prize Winner Junot Diaz, during his recent visit to Lehman College for a reading in the Lovinger Theatre, was greeted to an overflowing capacity crowd of students, faculty and guests from the local community. In anticipation of the event, Diaz’s critically acclaimed short story collection, Drown, was assigned by various sections of ENG 110 and LEH 100. The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, Diaz’s first novel earned him the Pulitzer Prize and was already being taught in many classes across the disciplines at Lehman. Junot Diaz is currently a Rudge and Nancy Allen Professor of Writing at M.I.T.
